EDI Specialist

Job Title: EDI Specialist
Department: Operations
Reports to: Director of Data Technology Services

Main Responsibility (purpose/objective)

  • Extensive reconciliation and audit activities of client billing and carrier enrollment reports
  • Work through individual client discrepancy reports for EDI test files transmitted to carriers
  • Manage queue of EDI tasks assigned – from initial request of specifications to implementation of the file


Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  • Resolve EDI issues by finding root cause and working with internal EDI team and/or trading partners to correct
  • Support internal users and trading partners with EDI related requests, questions, troubleshooting
  • Maintain internal “GEM” Database by keeping client, connection and task information current
  • Identify and communicate continuous improvements for EDI processes
  • Aid in developing EDI business initiative to improve existing processes around implementation, renewal and updates to structures throughout the year
  • Other duties as assigned
